This session is for those seeking to experience the healing and therapeutic nature of connecting with their creativity through clay as a medium. Inspire wonder and curiosity as you get in touch with your inner artist and let you creative energy flow freely throughout this hand building workshop that’s totally beginner friendly.

In this workshop, students will be introduced to a range of hand building techniques including pinch pottery and coil construction. Using basic techniques, you’ll be able to (re)discover your creative side in a holistic approach to the art of ceramics and embrace the endless possibilities and also limitations of clay!

What you’ll get during the class :
- Guidance from Shi, your pottery instructor
- 500 grams of stoneware clay and all necessary materials
- Step by step guide on how to hand build coffee mugs or cups
- Learn tips and tricks i.e how to reduce cracks and how to dry pieces properly, etc
- Finishing touches will be done by Shi to make your work look smooth and polished
- Your completed pieces will be glazed and fired
- Shipping and handling fees are included

Please Note:
1. Current turnaround time for your pieces to complete glaze and firing is approximately 1-2 weeks after the workshop date.
2. Fees include a clear glaze (dinnerware grade), and you’ll have the option of having them glazed with coloured glaze at an additional cost of RM10/piece (payable in-person).
3. Attendees should come dressed comfortably in clothes they don’t mind getting a little dirty in.
4. What to bring: A bucket loads of enthusiasm, your wonderful self, and maybe family or friends!
