Pottery In Nature: Intro Workshop

from MYR 50.00
sold out

Pottery sessions are back in the Garden! Get creative in nature, spend quality time with your friends/family and leave with your very own cup or bowl!

In collaboration with our friends from Gerlis Ceramics from Balik Pulau, we’ll introduce you to the basics of making ceramics: the pinching technique. Using stoneware clay to make tea cups or bowls, you’ll learn the guiding principles of pottery and have an opportunity to express your creativity (which we all have!) in your own way.

You will also learn and practice decorative application methods such as carving, stamping and patching to make your piece more attractive. The workshop fees covers glazing and firing so you’ll be able to use your creations at home!

18 March, Saturday
4-6pm
Glasshouse, Tropical Spice Garden

Spice Fam: RM50 | Public: RM80

Important:

1. All materials and glazes used in this class are non-toxic. Your mug is made from stoneware clay that are waterproof, microwave and food safe: a piece of functional pottery.
2. Dress comfortably in clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy in.
3. What to bring: A bucket loads of enthusiasm, your wonderful self, and maybe family or friends!
4. If you have the evening free, do consider joining us for our Garden Grill after the workshop: an evening with eat-all-you-can barbecue, music and drinks under the trees. Click
here for tickets.
