Pottery In Nature

from MYR 50.00

As part of Kanopi Coffee’s holiday special, we’re collaborating with our friends Gerlis Ceramics from Balik Pulau to introduce you to the basics of making ceramics: the pinching technique. Using stoneware clay to make a tea cup, bowl, or something ornamental, you’ll learn the guiding principles of pottery and have an opportunity to express your creativity (which we all have!) in your own way.

You will also learn and practice decorative application methods such as carving, stamping and patching to make your piece more attractive. The workshop fees covers glazing and firing so you’ll be able to use your creations at home.

The team will also be setting up a store as part of their Christmas Sale, featuring beautiful pieces you can get as gifts!

~

22 December, Sunday
K(an)opi Coffee, Tropical Spice Garden

10am - 12pm
Spice Fam: RM50 | Public: RM80

includes Garden Entry ticket

~

Important:

1. We have only one scheduled session available and spots are limited. Book early if you can!
2. All materials and glazes used in this class are non-toxic. Your piece is made from stoneware clay that are waterproof, microwave and food safe: a piece of functional pottery.
3. Dress comfortably in clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy in.
4. What to bring: A bucket loads of enthusiasm, your wonderful self, and maybe family or friends!

5. Drinks and food will be available for sale at Kanopi, the Garden’s cafe.
6. For more information, contact the team at 019 420 3797.
