Garden Night Walk
Come join us for a leisurely stroll in the Tropical Spice Garden at night where you will have a chance to observe and learn about some of the nocturnal denizens that call the grounds home such as bats, frogs and a variety of invertebrates. If you are lucky enough, you may even get a chance to spot Sunda Flying Lemurs, snakes and civets! This will be a great introduction for those who have never experienced wildlife spotting at night. This is a family-friendly activity.

About your Guide:
Originally from a small town named Kluang in Johor, Malaysia, Yi-Heng Pang (nicknamed Ethan) is a zoologist by training, having completed his BSc in the University of Otago, New Zealand. He also earned his MSc in Zoology from Universiti Sains Malaysia at the conclusion of his research on agile gibbon (Hylobates agilis)’s population in Ulu Muda Forest Reserve, Kedah. He is also a board member of the Malaysian Primatologists Society. Apart from being a self-trained entomologist and photographer since his youth, he is running an urban farm named Self Sufficient Penang to promote self-sufficiency and domestic waste reduction. He is currently working fulltime at The Habitat Foundation, a non-profit environment organisation based in Penang, Malaysia as Conservation & Sustainability Team Lead.
