Bule Sopan
Simon Schmieder aka Bule Sopan left Berlin and his former DJ life behind four years ago, trading the club lights for a new chapter in Asia. His compositions travelled with him on his hard drive and were never forgotten. The urge to get behind the decks again became bigger.
After falling in love with the garden and its welcoming community, Simon keeps finding his way back to the Red Grove Deck for these special, occasional, nights.
Expect a carefully crafted journey through fresh sounds, unexpected gems, and original compositions born in another time, on another continent. Blending past and present, the jungle heat and city memories, Simon’s sets are always shapeshifting with one intention: to create something truly unique, just for that moment.
IMMJN
IMMJN (pronounced "Imagine") is a Penang-based graphic designer and artist with a deep love for straight lines, geometry, and grids-elements that define his distinctive visual style. Originally from Penang, he spent several years in Kuala Lumpur before returning to his roots in 2012.
Formerly a Junior Art Director, he now works as a freelancer while actively participating in art shows. His works explore the potential of rigid, flat-color geometric shapes, reflecting his training in graphic design and mastery of grids and visual hierarchy. Known for his meticulous approach, IMMJN often embraces the challenge of perfecting colour schemes in his creations.
In recent years, he has shitted focus toward painting, striving to move away from digital tools and embrace more tactile, hands-on methods of producing art, furthering his evolution as a creative.
Richard D
Richard D is a Penang-based DJ, drummer, and bedroom producer deeply rooted in the underground. A key figure in Penang's DIY and punk scenes, he is also the founder of @bagijadi_, a platform pushing raw, left-field sounds that blur the lines between techno, house, acid, and rave.
Mostly found in the studio cooking up rough, understated tracks, his sound thrives in the spaces between genres-raw, unpolished, and always grounded in a no-frills, underground ethos. Whether behind the decks or the drum kit, his approach stays true to his roots: gritty, honest, and ever-evolving.
