MEET YOUR DJs
Vizard
Vizard produces music in synergy. Composed of Simon Schmieder and Bastian Schmiedecke, their improvised sessions define the roots of melodies and ideas, which are later structured and organised into a stunning melodic arrangement. When playing live, Vizard uses these tracks as a base to add and explore new melodies from scratch, reacting to the environment and the crowd. Every set is unique and develops in the moment, as they explore the vibe of the venue together with its guests. Their sets feel vibrant, analogue, and human.
Simon
Simon’s love for hip hop runs deep. When playing solo, he draws from his endless stream of half-beat arrangements and improvises on the spot. Inspired by Berlin’s half-beat productions, the UK’s grime scene, and American hip hop of the ’90s and 2000s, Simon will bounce for one hour below 100 BPM, combining his own compositions with his favourite half-beat productions from around the world.
Basti
Basti's sets are guided by intuition and a deep love for crafted production. As a piano player and producer, he approaches the decks with a producer's ear—listening for the layers, the space between sounds, and the emotional arc of each moment. His set at the Garden will traverse 100-120 BPM, blending melodic techno with Afro house to create a sonic landscape that mirrors the jungle itself: rich, alive, and constantly evolving.
Hafiz
For Kedah-born, Penang-raised Hafiz, his love for music came from his upbringing; where he found joy and peace in the hustles and bustles of his family home. Post-covid era; he had realised that in some way, the distance that isolated people had only caused a sense of longing for noise: be it chaotic or calming. He’ll be playing ambient and electronic during his set; taking us for a trip through the quiet jungle, in the middle of the bustles of the Penang city.
