A magical evening awaits you on our much loved Red Grove Deck as jazz, nature and good food come together. It’s not often one gets to experience the sounds of the rainforest and the sea melding into one, under the Garden canopy and open skies.
Gracing the stage is the Jazz Breakaways Trio, a groundbreaking neo-fusion jazz group originating from Penang, Malaysia. Consisting of Rod, Bak and Qi Hong, each member of the trio has graced the international stage and now seeks as a collective to bring forth a fresh new voice and perspective for playing jazz by showcasing material from the early jazz fusion eras of the 1970s to their own unique arrangements and compositions of the contemporary era. Accompanying them on the vocals is Alyssa, a well-travelled Penang-based artist known for her versatility and range across genres.
