Foo Chie Haur is the current principal flutist with the National Symphony Orchestra. Besides, he has also performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Macau Orchestra, BACHfest Malaysia, and more. As a highly skilled chamber musician and soloist, he is actively involved in numerous musical events internationally. He has performed at international festivals in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, and a chamber recital in Melbourne, Australia.
Wong Xue Fen is passionate about both modern and baroque music. She has performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Malaysian National Symphony Orchestra, BACHfest Malaysia, and more. Her strong reputation is exemplified by the numerous awards and accolades she has earned through various competitions such as the Thailand Flute Festival Competition, Malaysia International Virtual Band Competition, Malaysian Wind Music Prize, and more. Xue Fen was also chosen as a participant in the Leone Buyse Residential Course 2018, in Australia.
Lawrence Chiu, the curator of Flutes In The Taman, was educated in Kuala Lumpur and England. As a versatile musician, he has collaborated with a diverse mix of musicians and artists. He plays in the Philharmonic Winds Malaysia and has performed with the Sunderland Symphony Orchestra, Bede Winds, Penang Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more. As a composer, his work has been premiered and played locally and internationally. Earlier this year, Lawrence produced an all-original show - Spectrum of Sentiment.
