Pottery In Nature
Please note: This experience is for Adult Festival Ticket holders only. Children with the Kids Festival Ticket are required to pay the drop-in fee on site.
In collaboration with our friends Gerlis Ceramics, we’ll introduce you to the basics of making ceramics: the pinching technique. Using stoneware clay to make tea cups or bowls, you’ll learn the guiding principles of pottery and have an opportunity to express your creativity (which we all have!) in your own way.
You will also learn and practice decorative application methods such as carving, stamping and patching to make your piece more attractive. The workshop fees covers glazing and firing so you’ll be able to use your creations at home!
Two slots available:
· 31 May, Saturday | 2.00pm - 4.00pm
· 1 June, Sunday | 12.30pm - 2.30pm
Nursery, Tropical Spice Garden
~
Important info:
1. All materials (stoneware clay, tools, etc.) will be provided.
2. No prior experience necessary – beginners welcome!
3. This is a hands-on workshop, so be prepared to get a little dirty.
4. Glazing and firing are included.
