About Alice:
She is an artisan inspired by nature, food, music, the mundane day-to-day moments, its vibrant colors of life and stories, the rich texture of multi-ethnic Malaysian culture and tradition where she grew up in fusing with the multicultural Western lifestyle she spent in London for more than 10 years+, living and working in a L’Arche community for people with and without learning difficulties and later with the elderly community living with dementia. Alice is passionate and involved in her own and other people’s journey in life, development, healing, transformation and growth. She recognises, embraces and values each person's unique gifts and creativity. She curates and facilitates person-centered creative thinking through art and nature crossing all boundaries of faith, gender, ethnicity, age, physical or intellectual abilities by developing mindfulness, self awareness and self resilience for our well-being. She ‘holds space’ by guiding and weaving various interactive life experiences to spark off and draw inner-creative freedom of expression, how to be fully aware and mindful of the experience, cultivating and nurturing our innate potential to discover new and empowering things about ourselves, to connect and bridge that space between our inner voice and our day-to-day living experiences with ourselves and others. For Alice, she believes we are a community of hosts. That we are all connected with each other, directly or indirectly with people, our environment and nature. She works best in visual mediums beyond words. Her art creations often depict and reflect her current state of being, her thoughts, insights and curious wonderings about being human, its connections, the gaps in relationship with ourselves, others, the world and life itself. Alice is the Co-Director for Mein Ding Gallery Studio.my, a resident artist at Mein Ding Gallery Studio in Hungary where her artworks are exhibited, collected and more recently in Germany. She has also exhibited her works in Malaysia and in 2016 held her solo exhibition.
