Meet the Speaker
Dr Jo Leen Yap is a wildlife researcher, environmental educator, and certified Malaysian Regional Nature Guide. Dr Yap led her team in successfully installing Malaysia's first two road canopy bridges in Penang, Malaysia, to facilitate safer arboreal wildlife crossing. Dr Yap is passionate about environmental education and community engagement. She has invested her time in grassroots capacity building through citizen science collaboration with local community members to nurture people-urban monkey coexistence.
