Jungle Rumble

MYR 50.00

Find your way into Nature and groove the night away: we lovingly present the Garden’s second Rumble of the year.

Once in a while, we turn the Red Grove Deck into a lush, hidden sonic playground for the night. Rain or shine, here’s an experience that’ll get you moving under the rainforest canopy and open night sky. This time round, we’ve got Penang-born, Berlin-legend Frankie Flowerz on the Deck. He’ll be sharing the stage with Berlin-native turned Jakarta resident, Bule Sopan.

The invitation is to immerse yourself in the exploration of gritty, fun, layered and deep grooves that defy the conventional and the shared pulse of moving together freely - without judgement. No velvet ropes, no dress code. Just good sound, good people, and the joy of being alive and out in a hidden tropical paradise here in Penang.

Get your ticket(s) here and treat yourself to a night of fun you deserve. Tickets for this event is capped and sale will close once we reach capacity. We highly recommend planning and buying early.

MEET THE ARTISTS

Frankie Flowerz
Born Mohan Das and known around the world as Frankie Flowerz, he’s more than a DJ: he’s a storyteller through sound. A Malaysian-born, Berlin-based producer, songwriter, audio engineer and DJ, Frankie has been shaping dance floors globally since the early days of his career, spinning, producing and refining his relationship with music for over four decades. For Frankie, music isn’t just rhythm and bass: it’s a language of emotion and experience. He describes listening as a full-bodied reaction: his body responds rhythmically, his mind visualises shapes and colour, and every track becomes a space for imagination. He first stepped up from turntables around 17, blending an early passion for dance with a natural curiosity for sound. From dancer to DJ to producer, his evolution has always been rooted in honest expression, music as a reflection of life, feeling and inner landscapes.

Across the years Frankie’s journey has taken him from Malaysia to clubs and festivals worldwide, and eventually to Berlin — a city as much his home as any dance floor. His latest work, Nightride - an album featuring collaborations like Robert Owens, captures that same breadth of emotion he talks about: longing, memory, atmosphere, motion. It’s a record borne not just from technique, but from lived experience. Whether he’s lighting up the Garden’s Red Grove Deck under a starlit sky or a club on the European circuits, Frankie Flowerz is committed to one truth: music communicates, and those who listen deeply will feel what words alone can’t convey.

Bule Sopan

Simon Schmieder’s love for hip hop runs deep. When playing solo, he draws from his endless stream of half-beat arrangements and improvises on the spot. Inspired by Berlin’s half-beat productions, the UK’s grime scene, and American hip hop of the ’90s and 2000s, the returning and much-loved Bule Sopan will take you on a journey across two distinct sets this time around out on the Deck.

To open the evening, he’ll ease the crowd into the night with a melodic selection designed to bring you into the present moment, letting go of the worries and noise of daily life. Original compositions by blend seamlessly with his favourite melodic dance tracks, creating the perfect atmosphere to arrive, connect, and slowly find your rhythm on the dance floor. Later, the energy shifts. Expect a funkier, more driving set built for peak-time moments. Groovy bass lines, hypnotic vocals, and infectious rhythms will take over. No standing still, no sitting down.
